Zoviraxcream is used to heal cold sores on your lips and face. It is anantiviral medicine that is helpful to treat these sores caused byherpes simplex viruses. It aids the body in combating the virus, bypreventing it from proliferating. Even though this cream cannot thwartan eruption, it makes it easier for cold sores to heal. It is anantiviral, and acts by halting viral multiplication.

Aswe have stated, Zovirax cream cannot stop an outbreak of the herpesvirus,  but it is a very effective medication to hasten the healing ofcold sores. 

You have to apply this medicine as advisedby your doctor. You should also read the label on the cream for precisedosage indications. To apply Zovirax cream, wash and dry your hands andthe area on which you have to put it. You should only apply the creamon the affected part, not to the surrounding skin. AlthoughZovirax Cream does have certain side effects, they are very rare andminor. You may feel burning or stinging, dry or cracked lips, drynessor itching. These are common and minor side effects of this medicineand are very rare. Some serious side effects which are even more rareinclude severe allergic reactions like rash, itching, difficulty inbreathing, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue and dizziness.Although the chances of these side effects are small, if you doexperience any of them, you must consult your doctor.
