Valtrex cannot stop the spread of genitalherpes, as these infections are contagious and you can infect otherswhile you are taking this drug. You should avoid sexual intercourse oruse a latex condom, so that you do not spread the virus. You shouldalso make sure that the infected part of your body does not touch otherpeople.
Valtrex also has certain side effects,however, the possiblity is rare. These may include nausea, vomiting,diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, dizziness, feeling tired, jointpain, menstrual pain, or mild skin rash. Sometimes it may also causecertain serious side effects such as easy bruising or bleeding, unusualweakness, pale or yellowed skin, dark colored urine, fever, pain inyour lower back, drowsiness, mood changes, increased thirst, loss ofappetite, nausea or vomiting.
Although these sideeffects are very seldom, if you experience any of them, you mustconsult your doctor before continuing the medication.
